Programs
Our programs are highly individualized to meet the very diverse needs of each student. Every
young woman who comes to WWIT undergoes and extensive intake process, including an assessment of
their skill level and needs. WWIT staff and the young woman work together to devise a "life plan"
that outlines the training, support and access to resources they will need to accomplish her goals.

Summer Program
In the summer of 2006, WWIT initiated a Summer Program for 25 young women who were
falling behind in high school. The program consisted of six weeks of intensive focus on literacy,
math, writing, life skills, as well as a financial literacy component taught by volunteers from
Wells Fargo Bank.

After-School Program
WWIT was selected by the Seattle School District to be one of four community-based
organizations to partner with the District in a pilot program called "Parent/Community/ School
Partnerships", funded by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. WWIT will work
with at-risk girls at Rainier Beach High School who have failed the 10th grade WASL, as well
as with their parents and school, to supplement instruction at Rainier Beach so that these young
women can successfully pass the WASL.
